The round 1970s wing is a specimen of Macau before the licence expansion. The architecture and the faintly old-Hong-Kong basement arcade are the point; the gaming floor is just something you pass.
Best time
At dusk the old wing's lighting reads most clearly as period design.
How to go
Alight at Praça Ferreira do Amaral; a footbridge and an underground link connect it with Grand Lisboa.
Tips
- · Gaming areas are 21-plus and you must show a passport or ID card
- · Photography is banned outright inside the casino and security will stop it immediately
- · Smart-casual dress is expected; flip-flops, singlets and wheeled luggage are usually turned away
- · The basement arcade and non-gaming areas have no age limit — take that level if you have children
