Do not walk these in depth on the Gyeongbokgung day. Fold them into another half-day, and even then pick one line: Changgyeonggung on to Daehak-ro and Marronnier, one small show at most, and if you sit, only Hakrim Dabang; or Jongmyo on to Unhyeongung and Ikseon, with dinner staying in Ikseon. Do not go deep on both lines the same day. The stream can be the exit from the Jongmyo line. Do not transfer to Hongdae, and do not climb Namsan. The close is when the small show ends. Do not take the hunger after the curtain to Dongdaemun or Hongdae. That is a second night.
