South from Jongmyo onto the stream bed
After Jongmyo, close on Cheonggyecheon. Gwangjang is a different meal — not a second palace in depth.
Seochon

West from Jongmyo along Jongno to Seochon
After Jongmyo, Cheonggyecheon is the nearer close. If you walk Jongno west to Seochon, do not add a second palace in depth, and do not transfer to Hongdae.
