The first hour after opening on a weekday. Weekends and festival days run thick.
How to go
Start at Gion. The airport subway or the shinkansen is at Hakata. Read Hakata-guchi or Chikushi-guchi. For Dazaifu, change to Nishitetsu at Tenjin — do not taxi from here.

- · Keep the next stop in Hakata. The station and Canal City share a day. Dazaifu and Itoshima do not.
