One of Japan’s oldest Zen temples. The garden is quiet — do not stack it in the same hour as Tochoji’s lookout.

Morning side-light. Choose this or a deep museum.
How to go
Start at Gion. The airport subway or the shinkansen is at Hakata. Read Hakata-guchi or Chikushi-guchi. For Dazaifu, change to Nishitetsu at Tenjin — do not taxi from here.
