River and old town
On the river and in the old town, the pier decides the first stop. A bed by Tha Tien walks to Wat Pho. Around Tha Chang, the morning is the walls. Si Phraya and Saphan Taksin open onto the east bank or a crossing to ICON. A west-bank bed faces Wat Arun or ICON, not a walk to Chatuchak. A Khaosan bed opens onto the night street; if the morning is the palace, leave by boat first. The night street is not the start.
Malls and lanes
Malls and lanes are also decided by the bed. Sleep in Siam and the next day is Siam; do not ride to Thonglor just to stamp it. Sleep at Chit Lom or Pratunam and the door opens onto garments or Erawan. Sleep by Lumphini and dawn is the park. Sleep in Thonglor and the evening stays in the lanes. Sleep at Asok and the door is a transfer; Terminal 21 is rain cover, not a sight-seeing day. Do not change district every night.
