How dress closes the day: cover before you leave. The walls are strictest — the palace and Wat Phra Kaew turn away vests and shorts; Wat Pho asks the same, and women should not wear shorts above the knee. Bring a light scarf to the Golden Mount, the city pillar and Wat Arun. Hiring clothes is the gate's repair, not the plan. Shoes off before the halls. One layer in the bag; leave on the same axis after you finish. Do not return to the hotel for the dress code, and do not treat a mall as the 'rest' that replaces the temple day.
