Off the train
The express ends at Seoul Station. For Hongdae, change to the all-stop. Do not ride on to Jamsil on arrival day. Off the train, see the Culture Station hall, then Seoullo 7017 to City Hall and the Deoksugung wall, and stop. If you eat, one Namdaemun meal — not Gwangjang as well. Do not climb Namsan, and do not attach a Hongdae night to the same day. In rain, stay in the Culture Station hall. Save the elevated walk for a clear day. The elevated walk is a short arrival stroll, not the spine of a sights day. One stretch of the Deoksugung wall, then stop. Do not chase Gyeongbokgung north. Do not add a second district before the bags are down. After Namdaemun, Culture Station or the hotel — one of the two, then stop.
