The gate
The Independence Gate half-day is heavy. Give it its own slot. Do not stick it on after Gyeongbokgung. Line 3 opens onto the gate and the Seodaemun Prison History Hall. Finish the hall and stop. Inwangsan Guksadang only as far as the door — do not turn it into a hike. Do not attach a deep Gyeongbokgung, do not transfer to the Hongdae night street, and do not detour to Tongin in Seochon just to eat. That is another half-day. In rain, stay in the history hall. Save the slope for a clear day. The hall is enough weight for the half-day. If you still want to walk, go only as far as the shrine door, then back to Dongnimmun station. Do not continue up Inwangsan.
