One main palace, one pass-by
One main palace in depth per day. If it is Gyeongbokgung, take Gwanghwamun, the palace and Bukchon, and close dinner in Ikseon. If it is Changdeokgung, the rear garden is extra time; close at Insadong and do not reopen Gyeongbokgung. Deoksugung is the stone wall you pass at City Hall, not a third deep visit. Bukchon is a slope where people live, not another palace. Changgyeonggung, Jongmyo and Unhyeongung fold into another half-day — do not stick them onto the main palace day. Hanbok follows the same rule: change, enter this one palace, and do not rush the next one in it. One stretch of stone wall along Sejong-daero, then stop. The rear garden needs its own half-day. Do not tuck it onto the tail of the main palace morning.
