One of Japan’s longest shopping streets, running north from Tenmangu. Walk a section — do not march all the way and then rebound to Namba.
Best time
After eleven, when the shops are open. Stay indoors in rain.
How to go
Enter the covered north stretch from Sakaisuji Tenjinbashisuji 6-chome, or walk north from the shrine at Minami-Morimachi. ICOCA or PiTaPa taps the gate. An Osaka Metro day pass is Metro only — not JR.
Tips
- · One of Japan’s longest shopping streets, running north from Tenmangu. Walk a section — do not march all the way and then rebound to Namba.
- · Keep the stretch from the shrine to 3-chome. Walking to 1-chome and back overruns the day. The arcade is covered in rain.
