伏見稲荷大社
The senbon torii on a Kyoto day. JR toward Nara Line from Osaka Station. Do not add Kiyomizu and Arashiyama the same day.

清水寺
The Kiyomizu stage. Ninen-zaka and Sannen-zaka are the same hill, not a second district. Not the same day as Fushimi.

祇園
Hanamikoji and Shirakawa. Walk at dusk — do not chase geiko for photos.

二条城
The Tokugawa castle in Kyoto; the nightingale floors chirp. Pick this or Kinkaku-ji for the half-day — not both castles plus Kiyomizu.

金閣寺
The gilded reliquary hall. The bus stops at the gate. See it and leave — do not bolt on Arashiyama.

嵐山竹林
Togetsukyo and the bamboo are one western-Kyoto day. Hankyu or the JR Sagano Line — not also Fushimi.

京都駅
The end of the ride from Osaka, and the start of the day. One look at the grand stair, then leave — the station is not Kyoto.

東大寺
The Great Buddha hall. Kintetsu from Namba. The day stays around Nara Park.

奈良公園
Deer follow crackers. Do not feed them paper, and watch your step. Todai-ji and Kasuga sit at two ends of the park.

春日大社
Stone lanterns and vermilion. The walk climbs. Same Nara day as Todai-ji — do not add Kyoto.

ならまち
Lattice-window townhouses. A slow afternoon; shops close earlier than the park.
Pastern · CC BY-SA 3.0 · Wikimedia Commons
神戸ハーバーランド
JR Kobe Line from Osaka Station. Wheel and harbour — a Kobe day, not an extension of Osaka Port.

北野異人館
Western houses on the hill. It climbs — do not put it in the same hour as Nankinmachi.

南京町
Kobe’s Chinatown. One meal, then leave — it is not a second Kuromon.
Rsa · CC BY-SA 3.0 · Wikimedia Commons
有馬温泉
The onsen town north of Kobe. Gold and silver springs. A bath day — do not return to Sannomiya to shop.
Bubble Gum · CC BY 2.0 · Wikimedia Commons
宝塚大劇場
The Hankyu Takarazuka terminal theatre. It is a day only with a performance — without a ticket it is not a viewpoint.

Walk or ride one stop. A new district is another day.
清水寺
大阪メトロ · 19分
Ride JR Nara Line to Inari, then at Kiyomizu-dera switch to Keihan to Kiyomizu-Gojo. About about 20–30 minutes. When you change company, read the station signs. ICOCA taps this JR hop. An Osaka Metro day pass does not cover JR.
A Fushimi day ends at the torii. Do not add Higashiyama. Next is Kiyomizu-dera.
祇園
大阪メトロ · 22分
Ride JR Nara Line to Inari, then at Gion switch to Keihan to Gion-Shijo. About about 20–30 minutes. When you change company, read the station signs. ICOCA taps this JR hop. An Osaka Metro day pass does not cover JR.
A Fushimi day ends at the torii. Do not add Higashiyama. Next is Gion.
東大寺

Another day — do not treat this as a same-day walk. JR Nara Line to Inari toward Todai-ji (Kintetsu-Nara), about longer — count it separately. ICOCA taps this JR hop. An Osaka Metro day pass does not cover JR.
A Fushimi day ends at the torii. Do not add Higashiyama. Next is Todai-ji.
