Indoors is the main drag, outdoors is the reward
Build the day around cooled space: the science centre, resort halls, malls. Treat one outdoor sight a day as the reward, scheduled for morning or dusk rather than midday. A meltdown at the third stop is normal — that is your signal to stop, not to push.
Where a pushchair works and where it does not
The avenue, the Cotai walkways and the resort interiors are broadly smooth; the St. Paul’s steps, the climb to Monte Fort and the old lanes are not. With a pushchair, do the heritage leg as a squares-only version: Senado and St. Dominic’s, and skip the fort.
A half-day of beach and green
To burn energy, an afternoon at Hac Sa or Cheoc Van beats three sights. Bring a change of clothes and water, and watch the day’s flags. In town, Camões Garden gives shade and a bit of terrain for a short run-around.
Resort rules with children in tow
Resort shopping, shows and restaurants welcome families, but minors may not enter gaming floors — not even to pass through — and entrances check ID. Route yourself along the shopping halls and hotel lobbies rather than cutting through a gaming room. See the casino-etiquette guide for the detail.
