The South Bank wheel. Dusk keeps this or the Shard, not both. Next is Westminster Bridge — do not also stack the Shard the same day.
Analysis
One dusk viewpoint: London Eye. About 10:00–20:30, later in season. Last entry is before the door closes. High decks shut in high wind. Go down to Waterloo, and do not buy a second deck.
Best time
The capsule before sunset
How to go
Waterloo, or Westminster across the bridge
Transit
The way out of London Eye is often not the entrance you used. Find Waterloo before you go down, and keep one train in hand.
Season window
Sunset is late in summer at London Eye and around four in winter. Rain and fog hide the river — stay at ground level.
Tips
- · Tickets: High: adult tickets on the official site — do not freeze a guide number. Plan about 40 minutes.
- · Tickets are timed; late arrival moves your capsule
- · Glass at London Eye reflects. The half-hour before sunset is the stable window. Tripods are usually refused.
