The Emerald Buddha sits inside the Grand Palace walls and has no second ticket. You stop for the main hall and the galleries, not to pay again. The half-day closes with the palace: enter the walls, see the Buddha and the main courts, leave before ticket sales end. Only then decide whether one hour remains for Wat Pho. Wat Arun, Chatuchak and Thonglor do not belong inside this visit.
Best time
Same hours and the same foreign ticket as the Grand Palace: daily 08:30–16:30, sales until 15:30, 500 baht. No separate charge.
How to go
The same gate as the palace, from Tha Chang or MRT Sanam Chai. The same dress code.
Tips
- · After the main hall, walk toward the exit. Lunch is not a stop inside the walls.
- · Ceremony days can close the whole compound. Check the palace schedule first.
