Morning: Red House to Emei
From Ximen exit 6, land at the Red House square, then Emei and the pedestrian streets. If Ay-Chung has a queue, one standing bowl is the snack — do not sit for a second table. Drugstores are fine; do not turn every street into a list. Cinema street or the underground, one of them, and the underground only in the rain. Twenty minutes at the Red House is enough. After Emei, keep walking. Do not return to the square. Stop the day here. Leave the other district for tomorrow. Do not add a stop before the last train, and trust the station board over this guide.
One meal: Wuchang or Du Xiao Yue
Wuchang Street is one meal — two stalls, then leave. If you sit at Du Xiao Yue, that bowl replaces Wuchang; do not eat both, and do not add Ay-Chung again. Zhongshan Hall is the exterior only, not a second arts itinerary. After eating, walk back toward the Red House and decide to stop before dark. Stop the meal at two stalls. Do not follow a sit-down bowl with a standing noodle. Keep this stretch inside two hours. Note the metro exit before you start, leave as soon as you have seen or eaten, and do not queue a second door.
What not to stack today
Longshan, Bopiliao and Guangzhou Street are another Wanhua day. The memorial and Nanmen are another Zhongzheng day. Elephant Mountain or 101 is a third dusk, in Xinyi. The Beitou spring loop does not follow a shopping afternoon. When the pedestrian streets are done, stop. Last trains sit around midnight, but do not transfer just to add a sight. Finish at Ximen station. Leave the Longshan exit for the Wanhua day. Stop once in the middle. When you have eaten or looked, walk on. Do not turn passing shops into a list, and go back by the station you came in on.
