Morning meal: the market or the beef noodle
From Dongmen station, Dongmen Market and Yongkang Street are one meal. If you sit for Yongkang beef noodle, pick one shop; do not eat another round in the market. Jin Feng is on Jinhua, Xiaowang on Heping East — not the same bowl as Yongkang. If you already sat for beef noodle, move those two to another day, and do not eat both pork shops in one meal. Qingtian 76 or Jizhou An is the after-meal exterior — pick one. Pick the market or the beef noodle. Once you sit, do not go back to the market for cooked food. Stop the day here. Leave the other district for tomorrow. Do not add a stop before the last train, and trust the station board over this guide.
Afternoon stops in Da'an Park
After the noodle or the market, walk to Da'an Forest Park. A flat stroll — do not transfer to the Xinyi department stores. If you have not seen Rongjin or Jizhou An, pick one short stop. If Shida Night Market happens, it is dinner, and keep it small, because lunch already happened. Tonghua stays on the Xinyi day. One park loop is about forty minutes. If you enter Shida, treat it as a small dinner. Keep this stretch inside two hours. Note the metro exit before you start, leave as soon as you have seen or eaten, and do not queue a second door.
Do not append a Xinyi dusk or Maokong
Elephant Mountain and the 101 observatory are Xinyi's dusk. Walking over from Da'an Park is still another axis. If you want to queue Din Tai Fung, do it on the Xinyi day — do not queue dumplings after Yongkang. Gongguan and the Maokong Gondola are south. Do not ride to the zoo after Shida. A Yongkang day is one meal plus one park. Da'an ends at the park station. The Elephant Mountain trailhead should not appear today. Stop once in the middle. When you have eaten or looked, walk on. Do not turn passing shops into a list, and go back by the station you came in on.
