Four bases, one axis a day
Station: the memorial and Nanmen the next day — do not add a late Ximen shop loop. Zhongshan: Chifeng, one meal at Shuang Yue or Lin Dong Fang, close at Xingtian. Xinyi: two halls, then Elephant Mountain or the 101 observatory. Beitou: the spring museum, Thermal Valley and the public bath, and come down the next day. The bed removes one transfer. The dossier lists no rates and no booking link. The bed decides tomorrow's first stop. Do not change district every night. Keep this stretch inside two hours. Note the metro exit before you start, leave as soon as you have seen or eaten, and do not queue a second door.
Wanhua and Dihua, not Yuanshan alone
On the Longshan axis, check Wholesome Hotel on Guangzhou Street, or Lungshan Hotel in the Xiyuan Road lane. Outside is the temple and Guangzhou Street, not the Ximen pedestrian streets. Dadaocheng has Jincai Hotel on Dihua Street Section 1, for dry goods and Ningxia. The Grand Hotel is the north roof — do not write the Dihua bed as Yuanshan alone. Do not switch bases in one night. Wholesome and Lungshan serve the temple day. Jincai serves Dihua. Do not swap them. Stop once in the middle. When you have eaten or looked, walk on. Do not turn passing shops into a list, and go back by the station you came in on.
Yangmingshan and Jingmei: the mountain and the market edge
Check Inn Select sits on Gezhi Road, an existing hotel on the park side. Sleeping there means the visitor centre, Zhuzihu and Xiaoyoukeng; buses are infrequent, and if Qingtiangang's notice says closed, do not enter. Maokong's tea hills have no matching hotel tier. Marchi Hotel by Jingmei station serves Jingmei Night Market; the zoo and gondola move to the next day. Do not add the market after the descent. Check Inn Select serves the mountain. Marchi serves Jingmei. Do not sleep at both on a Maokong day. Stop the day here. Leave the other district for tomorrow. Do not add a stop before the last train, and trust the station board over this guide.
