Bund / South Bund: river and East Nanjing walks — good first stay, night-view bias. Jing'an / concession: malls and plane-tree streets — shopping and café days; Disney means a long metro. Lujiazui: towers and riverside — budget time to cross back for Puxi dinners. Hongqiao: early HSR/flight overnight; Disney days can sleep on resort — avoid bolting city lights at night.
Tiers and traps
luxury / upscale / mid / budget here are editorial tiers — not a booking pipe, and no rates. Do not hunt a mythical centre near Bund, concession and Disney at once — Shanghai has no such hotel. Early flights favour Hongqiao; park-only trips sleep on the resort axis.
