Best time
Weekday mornings. Many close Monday or Tuesday — check before you go.
How to go
Leave Tenjinbashisuji 6-chome and go upstairs. The museum is above the arcade. ICOCA or PiTaPa taps the gate. An Osaka Metro day pass is Metro only — not JR.
Tips
- · Edo-period Osaka townhouses upstairs on the shopping street. An indoor half-day when the castle park is wet.
- · An indoor townhouse. Weekly closure follows that day's notice. In rain it can replace the castle park.
