How to go
Harukas is straight up from Tennoji Station. Follow signs for the observatory. ICOCA taps this JR hop. An Osaka Metro day pass does not cover JR.

Follow straight up from Tennoji Station to the Tennoji concourse, about 5–10 minutes. No train. Exit: Harukas is straight up from Tennoji Station. Follow signs for the observatory.
After the tower, stop. Do not go down to Tsutenkaku. Next is Tennoji Mio.
Abe no Seimei Shrine
Walk · 17min
Follow straight up from Tennoji Station to Seimei-dori, about about a quarter hour. No train. Exit: Harukas is straight up from Tennoji Station. Follow signs for the observatory.
After the tower, stop. Do not go down to Tsutenkaku. Next is Abe no Seimei Shrine.
