The monorail
Naha Airport, Asahibashi, Prefectural Office, Makishi, Omoromachi, Shuri. OKICA is the local card. Transit IC cards can also open the gate — follow Yui Rail on site. Do not get stuck on the Shuri steps after the last train.
Car and boat
A car takes Route 58 and the expressway. Drive on the left. Do not drive on a night you drink. Tomari sailings are that day’s table.
Airport to Shuri
Yui Rail runs from Naha Airport through Asahibashi, the prefectural office, Makishi and Omoromachi to Shuri, then on to Tedako-Uranishi. Kokusai-dori sits between Miebashi and Makishi. OKICA is the local card and is sold at the airport station. Transit IC cards can open the gate — follow Yui Rail on site. The north, the south and Kerama are not on this line.
Cards and buses
Yui Rail gates take the transit IC cards: Suica, Kitaca, PASMO, manaca, TOICA, PiTaPa, ICOCA, Hayakaken, nimoca and SUGOCA, including phones. The matching machines can add value. Stations do not sell Suica, cannot load a commuter pass and cannot refund a card — follow Yui Rail on site. Only OKICA rides ordinary main-island route buses. Scheduled sightseeing buses and limousines are outside it. The two balances do not mix and cannot top each other up. The one-stop discount is OKICA only. The main island has no railway. The monorail runs only from central Naha to Tedako-Uranishi, and Shuri is mid-line. Route 111 ends at Nago. Route 117 continues to the aquarium. An airport link and the Yanbaru Express take Naha Airport or the city to the Motobu peninsula and the aquarium. The expressway runs from Naha toward Nago. There are one-day and two-day passes. The amount follows the counter.
