Ipoh Old Town
White shophouses and coffee rooms. This day is only the old town; Cameron Highlands needs its own night — do not jam it in.

Ipoh / Cameron Highlands
Ipoh old town and a Cameron overnight are separate. Cameron is its own travel day.

Ipoh Railway Station
The colonial white station, nicknamed for a British resident. See the building and change to the ETS — it is not a viewing deck.

Concubine Lane
The narrow lane in the old town, now filled with shops. Walk it, photograph a wall, leave — it is not all of Ipoh.

Ipoh street art
Murals on old-town walls, the same walk as Concubine Lane. Miss one and keep walking — do not hire a car to chase walls across the city.

Han Chin Pet Soo
A Hakka club turned tin-mining museum, open on a tour. The indoor hour of the old town — then white coffee on the street.

Kong Heng Square
The old-town food square, bean curd and snacks together. One meal of the day — not the last stamp on a list.

Ipoh white coffee row
The white-coffee rooms toward the edge of the old city. One cup is enough — do not tour every brand in the new town.
Sin Yoon Loong
The next cup on the white-coffee row, on Jalan Bandar Timah in the old town. Not a new-town crawl, and not another city.
Nam Heong
The next cup across from Sin Yoon Loong, still this white-coffee row. Egg tarts and coffee are the same meal, not another city.

Sam Poh Tong
A cave temple south of Ipoh. It can be the south leg of the old-town day, with its own ride — do not continue to Cameron.

Kek Look Tong
Another south-side cave temple, the same belt as Sam Poh Tong. Pick one as the main cave; the other is only if it is truly on the way.

Tanah Rata
The market town where you sleep in Cameron Highlands. Not the same day as Ipoh old town — the climb is its own ride.
Hawinprinto · CC BY-SA 4.0 · Wikimedia Commons
Time Tunnel
A small nostalgia museum in Tanah Rata, useful in rain. One hour in town — not the whole highlands.
udeyismail · CC BY-SA 2.0 · Wikimedia Commons
Boh Sungai Palas
The tea garden people actually visit, hills and a tearoom north of Tanah Rata. Morning is the slot; do not get caught on the hill road in an afternoon storm.

Mossy Forest
The moss forest near Brinchang — higher, colder, wetter. Pick this or the tea garden as the main axis; do not stack both hill roads.
Bernard DUPONT from FRANCE · CC BY-SA 2.0 · Wikimedia Commons
Cameron strawberry farms
Strawberry farms near Brinchang; picking or not follows the farm that day. An easy hour of the overnight, not the main sight.
Tattchua · CC BY-SA 4.0 · Wikimedia Commons
Kea Farm
A hillside market of vegetables, cacti and small shops. Buy fruit and leave — do not spend the whole afternoon.
Bjørn Christian Tørrissen · CC BY-SA 3.0 · Wikimedia Commons
Brinchang Night Market
The highlands night market, with more hot food than Tanah Rata. Dinner of the overnight — not a continuation of Ipoh.
