Treasures beside King's Cross. Magna Carta and manuscripts; the reading rooms need a pass. Next is King's Cross — do not also stack the British Museum the same day.
Analysis
British Library: two wings only. Last entry is about an hour before close (Galleries and the hall about 09:30–20:00, shorter Sunday). Leave a large case if there is no cloakroom, leave via King's Cross St Pancras, and do not add another large museum the same day.

How to go
About 4 min from King's Cross St Pancras
Transit
Tap contactless or Oyster at King's Cross St Pancras. Last trains sit around midnight. After British Library closes, board there — do not cross districts for the last train.
Season window
Spring and autumn are easiest at British Library. Summer atriums and weekend crowds stack; in winter put the indoor rooms first, and do not count an outdoor court on a wet day.
Tips
- · Tickets: The permanent treasures display is free. Plan about 50 minutes.
- · Security feels like an airport
- · No flash and no tripods inside British Library. Drink water before security. Pushchairs follow that day's door notice.
