North Kyoto: Ohara, Kurama–Kibune, Hiei — each a day
Ohara bus ~1 hour — Sanzen-in and Jakko-in one day, one Ohara meal. Kurama–Kibune are Eizan ends; summer river decks need bookings. Hiei Enryaku-ji by bus or cable — stay on the mountain. Do not marathon all three; Kinkaku is not a north-hills add-on. ICOCA on Eizan; city-bus day pass excludes it.
