Guide · independent travel
Red/Orange MRT is the spine; LRT strings the harbour. Pier-2 ≠ Lotus Pond ≠ Foguangshan.
First Kaohsiung
Pier-2, Lotus Pond and Foguangshan each want half a day-plus. First trip: two axes.
Lock Formosa Boulevard, Sizihwan, Zuoying, Dream Mall, Dayi Pier-2.
Keep Sizihwan for dusk; harbour night or Love River bridges — one.
Next stop
Walk, LRT or one MRT stop to the next place. Another district is another day.
Walk · 18min
Formosa Boulevard Station → Central Park: same-district walk (~18 min)
Next is Central Park on the cianjin axis — do not open another district spine (Formosa Boulevard Station→Central Park, 18 min).
Walk · 18min
Formosa Boulevard Station → Kaohsiung Main Public Library: continue cianjin axis (~18 min)
Kaohsiung Main Public Library continues the same axis — not an excuse to add Lotus Pond or Dream Mall (Formosa Boulevard Station→Kaohsiung Main Public Library, 18 min).
Walk · 8min
Formosa → Central Park: walk (~8 min)
Short urban green link.
