Hang Gai and Dong Xuan are different corridors: silk/galleries vs daytime wholesale market. Go deep in one; treat cloth/hat streets as pass-through. Do not finish all of Hang Gai and binge Dong Xuan as one main hall.
One mall a day: Trang Tien Plaza (lakeside rain), Vincom/Royal City (south), Lotte (west Ba Dinh, optional view). If Lotte is your dusk high point, skip Hoan Kiem sunset. AEON Long Bien is another half-day across the river.
