At 09:30 take the JR Kagoshima Line from Hakata to Kashii and change to the Kashii Line for Uminonakamichi. The aquarium’s page says about 11 minutes Hakata to Kashii and about 20 minutes on the Kashii Line. Lunch is in the park. Park and aquarium are separate tickets: adults 450 yen and 2,500 yen. Park to aquarium is 8 minutes, to the shore 15; pick two of the three. Turn back at 16:00 and be at Kashii before the last train. Do not add Shikanoshima (29 minutes on from the aquarium) or Nokonoshima the same day.
Why it is smooth: Out of Hakata at 09:30, lunch in the park, back at Kashii at 16:00. Park and aquarium are separate tickets.
