Itoshima’s JR centre. Chikuhi Line from Meinohama, then a bus or car splits to Futamigaura and Keya.

시장 · 해산물

The produce market in Maebaru. Come around oyster season for seafood and vegetables — it is not a department store.

Coast · 일몰

The wedded rocks and a torii in the sea. Keep sunset here — do not also chase Fukuoka Tower.

Shrine · Coast

The shrine beside Futamigaura. Stop after the rocks.

Sea cave · 배

The basalt sea cave. A small boat goes in. Go deep here or at Futamigaura — do not rush both.

해변 · Summer

One of Itoshima’s swimming beaches. Outside summer it is a walk — do not expect stalls.

Coast · Oysters

The Fukae shore. Oyster huts cluster here. If you eat oysters, do not also schedule Nakasu ramen.

Oysters · Winter

Winter oyster huts along the Fukae shore, not a year-round restaurant street. They open roughly November to March, and each hut sets its own days. Out of season, go to Futamigaura or Keya instead of an empty trip.

Mountain temple · Cherry

The mountain temple known for its cherries. Climb in blossom season. On an ordinary day do not pair it with Futamigaura.

Sunset at Futamigaura. This is the light of an Itoshima day. Then the last bus to Meinohama.
