Which pier
Read the flag, then match the pier. Tha Chang is the palace. Tha Tien is Wat Pho, and the short ferry opposite is Wat Arun — that ferry is not the orange-line ticket. Si Phraya is the east-bank hotels and River City; ICON is across. Sathorn (the central pier) meets the BTS. Phra Athit is Khaosan. Thewet is the Dusit flowers. The orange line is the express company's commuter boat: from 6 October 2026 the site lists 19 baht flat on weekdays, yellow 24, the red flag 33, and the green-yellow flag 17/24/36 by section. The header says daily service and each line says Monday–Friday, so weekends follow the pier. The tourist boat is another company; single tickets and a day pass follow the pier that day, and this station does not copy old guidebook figures. Oriental Pier N1 is closed for renovation.
Where the west bank ends
The west bank stops at one main subject. Climb one terrace at Wat Arun, add one temple on the same bank, and return to Tha Tien. Or Lhong in the afternoon and ICON toward evening, and eat on the west bank. Not Wat Arun plus ICON plus the palace. Khaosan is not the river's ending.
