The Ratchada train market is the stop for the carriage night market itself — then back to the hotel. Half a day: enter near MRT Thailand Cultural Centre, one round and one stall, and do not add a temple or Yaowarat. Pick one among this, Asiatique and Chinatown in a night; do not bounce to a Siam mall. Opening follows the site that day.

Krung Thep Aphiwat is where most long-distance trains now call — Hua Lamphong is no longer every train. How to use it: check that day's services to change or arrive here; the north line can reach Chatuchak or Ari, but do not treat the station as a half-day sight; Don Mueang is another transfer. 室内 · Museum

MOCA is the stop for the private museum indoors north of the market. Do not insert it into a weekend-market day; on a weekday or when the market is not the main stop, make it a north half-day: Mo Chit then a local ride, visit, stop. Do not continue south to Siam, and do not make Ari a second main stop the same half-day. Opening and tickets follow the museum that day.

Chatuchak Park is the exit when the market crowd is too much — same district, different tempo. How to use it: after one market direction at the weekend, rest here, or on a weekday walk only the park and Or Tor Kor; Rod Fai can extend, but do not continue south to a Siam mall or bounce to the palace. Rod Fai Park is old locomotives and a large lawn — same district as the weekend market, different tempo. How to use it: a loop on a weekday or after the market closes; MOCA is a further-north private museum, separate; Chatuchak Park can extend the rest. Do not schedule the park as a palace-day replacement, and do not continue south to Siam. Gates follow that day's notice.

JJ Mall is air-conditioning and a close-out beside Chatuchak, not a second required department store. How to use it: after one market direction at the weekend, duck in from heat or rain, then leave by Mo Chit or the MRT you entered; on a weekday with only Or Tor Kor, it can be a short indoor stop. Do not add Siam or Thonglor the same day. Floors follow the shops that day.

How to use it: on weekdays it can extend an Ari lane pass-through; on a market weekend do not insert coffee lanes; Victory Monument is south and Mo Chit north — close in one direction. Wat Phra Sri Mahathat is the large Bang Khen temple on the way to Don Mueang — not a special trip from the palace. How to use it: a short stop on the north line; cover shoulders and knees, exterior or courtyard, then go; long-distance and airport changes still centre on Bang Sue — not an old-town replacement day, and do not also force Chatuchak. Opening follows the temple that day.
